🏛️ Social Event

Our social event will take place on Wednesday from 17:30 onwards at the Glasgow University Union building. Further details will be added soon.

EnviBayes-INLA workshop Awards

To recognise outstanding contributions from students and Early Career Researchers (ECRs\(^{(\star)}\)), the workshop will offer prizes for:

  • Best Student/ECR Talk

  • Best Student/ECR Poster

All eligible talks and posters presented at the workshop will be considered for these prizes.

\(^{(\star)}\) ECRs are defined as researchers within 8 years of completing their PhD. We recognise that career paths are not always continuous, and appropriate allowance will be made for career interruptions, including parental leave, caring responsibilities, illness, or other significant career breaks.

EnviBayes Student Paper Competition

The workshop will also host a dedicated session featuring the winners of the 2027 EnviBayes Student Paper Competition. This annual competition recognises outstanding student-led research in Bayesian methodology and applications to environmental sciences. Winners receive a certificate and monetary award and are invited to present their work in the dedicated EnviBayes session.

Talks presented in the EnviBayes session will also be eligible for the Best Student/ECR Talk prize above.

Applications for the 2027 EnviBayes Student Paper Competition close on 1 December 2026 at 5pm EST. Full details on eligibility and how to apply are available on the EnviBayes Student Paper Competition page.
